Kim is a spirited and loving 1-year-old male mix of Border Collie and Labrador, weighing around 32 lbs. He's a joyful and playful pup who is always ready for an adventure! Kim is a bit timid and needs some time to decompress and build trust with new people, but once he does, he's incredibly sweet and funny. He's also very smart, making him a perfect candidate for training to bring out his best qualities. Kim enjoys the company of other dogs and is also cat-friendly. He's already leash trained, crate trained, and enjoys car rides. Kim was found abandoned at our doorstep and bravely overcame a bout of parvo, making a full recovery.
Ideal Home
We're looking for active families who love the outdoors and have a securely fenced backyard. Kim thrives in homes with a family that has a genuine intention to rescue and understands the need for patience and education with rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, is highly valued.
Ongoing Health
Kim is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations including DHPPI (2 shots), Rabies, and Bordetella. He has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. He is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Kim is not house-trained and requires patience and consistency as he adjusts. It's important to understand that rescued pets may have experienced trauma and need time to adapt. We provide guidance on decompression and integration into your new home.

Applications start by contacting us through Wags. Our adoption process includes a thorough online application, a phone/email interview, a home check (photos/videos may be requested), a virtual meet-and-greet, and a trial adoption period.
Transporation
Kim is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
