Meet Duvall, a striking young Husky/Great Pyrenees mix with unforgettable blue eyes, a gorgeous blonde coat, and an even bigger personality. At just over two years old, he's intelligent, affectionate, and athletic. Duvall absolutely loves his people and wants to be part of whatever you're doing, happiest when he has both a job to do and people to love. He has already experienced more transitions than any young dog should and is looking for a family committed to giving him the time, patience, guidance, and outlets he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving, intelligent companion who will happily join you on every adventure for years to come. Duvall is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption.
Ideal Home
Duvall needs a home that understands what it means to share life with an energetic working-breed dog. His ideal home will provide daily opportunities for physical exercise and mental enrichment, such as long walks, hiking adventures, training sessions, puzzle toys, scent games, fetch, and structured play. He would do best with confident, well-socialized dogs his size or larger that enjoy active play and are comfortable setting appropriate canine boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Duvall is neutered, heartworm tested, dewormed, up-to-date on prevention medications and vaccines, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Duvall is still polishing his social skills with other dogs; his play style is enthusiastic, physical, and sometimes a bit overwhelming. Any introductions to resident dogs should be done slowly and thoughtfully. Duvall is looking for adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him succeed with consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. Experience with working breeds is a plus, but more important is a willingness to invest the time and energy needed to help him thrive.
