Meet Rusty!

Rusty is a handsome 1-year-old Husky/Aussie mix with a heart as big as his smile. After being rescued from the euthanasia list, he's been given a second chance and is now looking for the forever family he deserves. Rusty is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate. He loves spending time outside, especially with a rope toy, but once he's burned off some energy, he's happiest curled up next to his people. Being with his humans is his favorite place to be, and he's always ready for cuddles or to simply hang out by your side.

Rusty would make an amazing companion for a family looking for a best friend. He's ready to be part of adventures, playing in the yard, or relaxing together after a long day.

Rusty is a healthy boy who has overcome a lot in his young life.

Training & Support

Rusty is a smart boy who loves to learn. He already knows "sit" and "come," and is quickly picking up "stay" and "lay down." He is potty trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in the car, and settles nicely in his kennel at night. He will bark a bit in the backyard to let you know if someone is around, but he is not an excessive barker.
