Rocky

Rocky is a 1.5-year-old, 90-pound bundle of love who has been through more than any dog should have to endure. He was adopted, returned, abandoned, attacked, and then adopted again, only to be returned a third time. Just hours before he was scheduled for euthanasia, a rescue stepped in and found a foster for him. Sadly, due to a family emergency, his foster can no longer keep him, and Rocky is once again looking for his happily ever after.

Despite his difficult past, Rocky remains a sweet, affectionate, and incredibly gentle soul. He's a "velcro dog" who thrives on companionship and is deeply attuned to his humans, even checking on them when they cough or sneeze. He doesn't like being alone but is never destructive. Rocky is loyal, sensitive, and desperately craves the stability he's always deserved. He's wonderful with children and other dogs, making him a true teddy bear.

Ideal Home

Rocky would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people. He doesn't like being left alone for extended periods.

Ongoing Health

Rocky has no known ongoing health issues.

Training & Support

Rocky is generally well-behaved but may benefit from continued positive reinforcement to help him with any lingering anxieties from his past.
