Beetle

Beetle is a gentle soul who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This sweet boy is a polite gentleman who will calmly approach his friends for high-value treats – he definitely knows his favorites! While the big, loud world can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming for Beetle, he does wonderfully with a bit of encouragement and a gentle approach. He is looking for a home with older children (ages 10+) where his family can help him settle in at his own pace. Beetle can be a little shy about his personal space and prefers a soft touch, so he is looking for an adopter who is familiar with fearful behavior and ready to help a shy dog blossom. To make sure it's a perfect match, the whole family is encouraged to meet him together. If you have a quiet home and a lot of love to give, Beetle is waiting to meet you!

Training & Support

Beetle can be a little shy about his personal space and prefers a soft touch. He may flinch with back pets and is head shy if you reach directly over him. He only likes higher-value treats. He can be fidgety when overwhelmed by noise and when going through doorways or gates, but responds well to crouching and encouragement. He briefly resisted going back into his crate but ultimately went in willingly.
