Meet Lucy Van Pelt, a stunning 4-year-old Husky with a heart of gold and a brain to match! This intelligent and devoted girl, weighing around 45 lbs, is looking for her forever family. Lucy's foster parents, experienced with Huskies, say she's the smartest they've ever met! Her piercing blue eyes might look observant, but she's truly a loving companion who bonds deeply with her pack.
Lucy has a wonderful past and a bright future. She was surrendered to a shelter due to a manageable skin condition that her previous family couldn't handle, and sadly, she was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we were able to pull her and place her with a loving foster family. Her skin is healing beautifully thanks to a healthy diet, and she's thriving! She even enjoys healthy snacks like apples, cucumbers, and broccoli stems.
Ideal Home
Lucy thrives on routine and would do best in a home where someone works from home or with other dogs to keep her company. She's great with other dogs and has made initial introductions with cats, making her a wonderful fit for a multi-pet household.
Ongoing Health
Lucy is a healthy eater and her skin condition is healing perfectly. She is microchipped, spayed, and fully vaccinated.
Training & Support
Lucy is incredibly smart and treat-motivated, showing remarkable progress in obedience training. She is already house-trained and eager to continue learning. While she can be vocal when excited about food, she's polite with visitors and doesn't bark at them. She is also described as being "devoted to her pack," including other dogs.
