Salami

Salami is a short, chatty little guy who has many opinions he shares liberally! His favorite activities include going for walks, following his people everywhere, and snuggling under the covers at bedtime. He's also a good traveler, plays well with other dogs, has a great appetite, and prefers to nap touching his person. This intelligent pup learned to use the steps, ramp, and doggie door in record-breaking time and is house-trained to boot! While he shows no sign of ever having been mistreated, he likes to be the boss of the home and can be a little bit jealous of his humans, especially since he likes to be alpha with other dogs. He's a very stubborn but typical alpha dachshund.

Ideal Home

Salami would do best in an adult-only home. He likes to be the boss and has a bit of a jealous streak, so an experienced dachshund owner who can set clear boundaries and establish themselves as the pack leader would be ideal.
