Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving guy with a big presence and an even bigger personality! He's estimated to be a little over 1 year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While his exact breed is a guess, he's likely a pittie mix. Bear is eager to learn, responsive, and treat-motivated, making him a joy to train. He absolutely shines when it comes to people skills, soaking up attention and happily being a part of whatever you're doing. He's already house and crate trained, and loves to lounge.
Ideal Home
Bear would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. He has shown signs that he could live peacefully with a dog-savvy, confident cat with slow introductions. He'll thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.
Ongoing Health
Bear is generally healthy and has received all his necessary vetting.
Training & Support
Bear is still in his puppy phases and needs continued guidance on leash, especially around other dogs, as he can get a bit overly excited. He responds well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. While he can be a bit pushy during play with other dogs, he shows respect once he gets to know them, as seen with a chihuahua in his foster home. With the right dog match, proper introductions, and structure, he'll be a wonderfully fun playmate. He enjoys enrichment puzzles, which are great for his brain!
