Meet Gina! This 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing 56lbs, is a sweet girl with a lot of love to give. Gina was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite her rough start, she's blossomed in her foster home and is ready to find her forever family!
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who enjoys playing with her daily. She has not been around children in her foster home, but due to her size and tendency to jump when excited, we suggest a home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up). She would also do well with a couple or someone living alone. While Gina enjoys the company of familiar dogs and currently lives with small and large dogs, she can be a bit apprehensive around unfamiliar, larger dogs due to a past attack. Slow introductions are a must! We recommend a cat-free home as she can be a bit too enthusiastic around neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy pup with no known ongoing health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be left crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat her treats alone and is still in the "puppy velociraptor" stage, so she'll need guidance on appropriate chewing habits. We’re looking for adopters who will provide her with regular socialization, positive training, and plenty of outlets for exercise, play, and enrichment.
