Jack

Jack is a resilient and loving boy over a year old with a soft black-and-white coat and a gentle soul. He arrived at the shelter as a one-week-old puppy and, as the runt of his litter, faced many challenges in his first year of life. Jack battled hookworms and ringworm, which required periods of isolation and slowed his early development. He also experienced the heartbreak of being returned twice after adoption, leaving him feeling unsure. Further isolation for Giardia treatment also impacted his early socialization. These experiences have left him a bit shy and cautious, and he is still working through some fears. However, Jack is a fighter who has shown incredible resilience and a willingness to keep trying. He finds comfort in the company of other dogs and does wonderfully with cats. Today, Jack is a happy and healthy boy who is making brave, quiet strides every day to overcome his fears. He is seeking a patient and understanding family who will love him for who he is, and in return, he will offer a deep, honest, and rewarding bond.
