Meet Stella, a 4-year-old, 44lb female Terrier/Lab mix with a heart full of joy! This little seal pitty is truly a dream dog looking for her special person. Stella absolutely adores people and has a wonderful temperament at home. She'll greet you with her vast toy collection, and a good booty scratch is the perfect way to return the favor!
Stella has made incredible progress since arriving. Initially, she struggled with leash reactivity, stemming from being heartworm positive and having recently had puppies. But with time and care, she's overcome her fears and now enjoys her walks, discovering the world isn't so scary after all. She's a cheerful, easy-going, and eager pup who loves long walks and playing fetch in the backyard with her favorite squeaky shark toy. Stella is also accepting of crate time when needed and is a pro at waiting for potty breaks. She gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with humans, including children.
Ideal Home
Stella would thrive in a home where she can enjoy plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions.
Ongoing Health
Stella was previously heartworm positive and has successfully completed life-saving treatment. She is now heartworm-free and current on all routine medical vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Training & Support
Stella has come a long way with her leash reactivity and now enjoys walks. Continued positive reinforcement and exposure will help her maintain her confidence.
