Meet Byron! This handsome German Shepherd is estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs about 75 lbs. Byron's journey began when he was found wandering as a stray, with no microchip and no one to claim him. He bravely navigated the world on his own, facing challenges like dodging traffic and braving the elements. But those tough days are now behind him!
Byron is safe, vaccinated, microchipped, and is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. With regular meals, a warm bed, and caring people looking out for him, he's starting to relax and discover what stability feels like. At his core, Byron is a truly wonderful dog. He possesses excellent manners and shows signs of having been well-trained in the past. He is calm, respectful, and a pleasure to be around. Byron loves to be near his people, happily following them from room to room. He enjoys companionship and would be thrilled to find a home where he can finally be a cherished part of a family. He also does well with other dogs, provided they have slow and respectful introductions, and he appreciates calm interactions. He has not yet been tested with cats.
Ideal Home
Byron would thrive in a home with a yard, patience, and the time to give him the attention he deserves. He's not asking for much – just kind humans, a safe home, and the chance to finally belong.
Ongoing Health
Byron is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been microchipped. All of our dogs are kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
Byron has wonderful manners and appears to have been well-trained at some point in his life. He is calm, respectful, and easy to be around.
