Georgey

Georgey is an 11-month-old pup, weighing approximately 32 lbs. He's believed to be a mix of Australian Kelpie with Lab or Catahoula, and is a petite, adorable dog who appears to be full-grown. Georgey was born on a ranch in South Texas, where he and his brother Johnny were surrendered. He has been in foster care since March 2025.

Ideal Home

Georgey would love a home with another dog or dogs where he can play. He would also enjoy a kiddie pool full of water to lay in and daily walks to explore new things. He is a very relaxed and easy-going boy that would fit almost all types of households. He loves his people and will follow you around, trying to please.

Ongoing Health

Georgey is fixed (spayed/neutered), heartworm positive (he has received a 30-day course of antibiotics and needs to stay on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He has also been de-wormed and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.

Training & Support

Georgey can get a little jealous when other dogs are out playing and he is in a kennel, and will make sad whimpering sounds to be let out. He loves his toys so much that he prefers to have 20 pieces of one toy rather than just one toy, so tough toys are a must.

Transportation

Georgey is currently located in Texas. Transport is available to the Northeast US every 2-3 weeks, with specific stops including locations in NY, VT, NH, CT, OH, PA, NJ, MD, and VA.
