Meet Maggie Moo — a 9-year-old beagle/basset hound mix whose wiggly little trot and soulful eyes will melt your heart before she even reaches you. At around 30 pounds, Maggie is the perfect size for someone looking for a whole lot of sweetness wrapped up in a low-key, lovable package.

Maggie Moo believes life is best enjoyed slowly. Her favorite hobbies are simple: cozy naps, leisurely sniffing adventures, and searching for hidden treasures. She has the most adorable hound bark that is guaranteed to make you smile! This sweet senior girl is housebroken, kennel trained, dog friendly, and respectful around cats. While Maggie can be shy when meeting new people, she is incredibly gentle and warms up beautifully once she knows she is safe. New places can make her nervous at first, but give her a little time, patience, and reassurance, and you'll see her sweet personality shine through.

Ideal Home

Maggie would love a quieter adult home where she can enjoy a peaceful routine, cozy naps, and the comfort of people who understand that some of the best dogs aren't the ones who demand attention. She's more of a find the comfiest bed and enjoy a peaceful afternoon together kind of girl. A fenced yard where she can leisurely sniff around and a few short strolls are all the adventure she needs.

Ongoing Health

Like many older pups, Maggie has some arthritis and takes medication to help keep her comfortable. All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.

Transporation

Maggie Moo is located in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. If you want Maggie transported to New Orleans or Pensacola, transport is available.
