Channel is an 8-month-old, 43.6 lb Caramelo Dog who is looking for her forever family. Channel's early life was challenging, having been born on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. While security guards did their best to care for her and her littermates, a tragic accident involving an oil pit left Channel as the sole survivor. She was rescued on January 4th, 2026, and has since been receiving the care and love she deserves. Channel is a playful and affectionate girl who enjoys attention. She is good with cats, dogs, men, and women. Initially, she may be cautious around new people, but she warms up quickly once she feels safe. Channel can also experience anxiety when left alone, so she would thrive in a home where her family can provide her with patience, reassurance, and plenty of companionship to help build her confidence. After overcoming such a difficult start, Channel is ready for a family that will offer her the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.
Ideal Home
Channel would do best in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. A fenced backyard is a must. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, including their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. She also requires a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Channel has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and microchipped. She has also had a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra). She comes with a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Channel is not house-trained. It is important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and require time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience and understanding are crucial in building trust and a strong bond.
