Norma Jeane is an approximately 8-year-old, 10lb poodle mix with a heart full of playfulness and a spirit that's as spunky as they come! While her initial shelter record suggested 10 years old, our private vet believes she might be as young as 7, and she certainly acts like a lively, playful gal. Norma's absolute favorite thing in the world is a ball – her ideal day consists of chasing it non-stop, with short breaks for naps. She is a fantastic companion who adores people, especially young children who are gentle and respectful around dogs. She lives harmoniously with a 4-year-old human and follows him everywhere, happily playing ball together. While she's not a cuddler and prefers active engagement or independent time over lap-sitting, she's the perfect sidekick for anyone looking for an enthusiastic partner in adventures. Norma has a medium energy level; she's not built for marathon walks but would happily join you for a ride or a stroll. Once indoors with her beloved ball, it's game on! She doesn't exhibit separation anxiety and is non-destructive when left to her own devices.
Ideal Home
Norma Jeane needs an adopter who is committed to playing fetch with her at least four times a day, as ball is truly life for her. She would thrive in a home with respectful young children. While she coexists well with other laid-back dogs, she does not like overly energetic dogs that invade her space. She would be content as a solo dog or with another calm canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Norma Jeane has successfully completed heartworm treatment. Due to the priority of her heartworm treatment, she was not able to be spayed prior to the injections. Wags will work with the adopter to schedule an appropriate spay date before she leaves our care.
Training & Support
Norma Jeane is not 100% potty trained. She will go outside if the back door is left open, but may have an accident inside if not closely supervised. She has mastered not having accidents in her crate, so it's a reliable option when she's unsupervised. She is great in the car and enjoys looking out the window.
