Meet Valentina! She's a beautiful female Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing about 45 lbs. Valentina is a calm, gentle, loyal, and noble soul who can be a little shy around new people. Once she feels safe, her sweet and trusting nature truly shines. She was born under a broken house in Houston during freezing weather and defied the odds to survive, making her an incredibly resilient and special pup. She's already leash, crate, and house-trained, letting you know when she needs to go out, and she gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, and adults. Valentina is ready for a forever home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished.
Ideal Home
Valentina would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Ideally, her new family will have experience with dog behavior and training, and possess a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. She needs a home that understands the needs of street animals and is committed to providing her with the protection and education she deserves.
Ongoing Health
Valentina has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
While Valentina is currently house-trained and knows to signal when she needs to go outside, the description notes that it's an impossible job to house-train every rescued pet. Her new family should be prepared for potential ongoing training needs and have experience with dog behavior and training, with high tolerance and patience.
