Meet Brody – a charming 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix who’s mastered the art of the perfect balance between playful energy and relaxed cuddles! Brody is a lovable goofball who enjoys both outdoor adventures and cozy days on the couch. He’s even happy to don a festive costume or holiday attire, as long as he’s with his favorite people.
Ideal Home
Brody would thrive in a home with a secure backyard where he can enjoy some off-leash zoomies. He’s done well with friendly, laid-back female dogs and would be happy to have a canine companion, but he’s also content being the only dog in the household. Due to his size and exuberance, he’d do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children (ages 8-10+) who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody is not a fan of cats.

Training & Support
Brody is a smart, food-motivated boy who is eager to please. He is house-trained and crate-trained, doing wonderfully when left unsupervised in his crate. He walks calmly on a leash and has made great progress with his obedience skills. While he can get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and positive experiences, he continues to adapt well. Owners with experience with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds would be a great fit. He would benefit from daily walks, light adventure, and mental stimulation like scent work, agility, or obedience classes.

Transportation
Brody is currently in Houston, Texas. He is available for transport out of state once his forever family is approved.
