Sansa is a delightful 10-month-old Chihuahua–Cocker Spaniel mix, weighing around 10 lbs. She's a loving, happy, and playful pup who was surrendered by her previous family but is now eagerly awaiting her forever home. Sansa is already potty-trained and crate-trained, and she gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and people of all ages. She might bark at strangers initially, but with a little patience, she quickly warms up and shows her affectionate and sweet nature. Sansa loves to play and would thrive in a home that offers consistent guidance and helps her build confidence.
Ideal Home
Sansa would be a wonderful addition to an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and is looking for a loyal and playful companion. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. She needs a family with patience and understanding, especially for rescued animals, and ideally, someone with experience in dog behavior and training or a willingness to hire a trainer.
Ongoing Health
Sansa has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Sansa is not house-trained, which is common for many rescued pets. She requires patience and understanding as she adjusts to a new environment. Her new family should be prepared to provide consistent guidance and training to help her feel secure and confident.

- If it’s a match, a call or video chat will be arranged to introduce you to Sansa and conduct a virtual home tour.

- If approved, an adoption contract will be signed, and an adoption fee will be collected to cover vet care, vaccinations, microchip, and food.
Transporation
Sansa is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast as part of our cross-country trips. Our partnered transport company will escort pets from Mexico across the border into Texas. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery to your home. We organize 3-4 trips per year, and adopters will receive real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group throughout the journey.
