Haze

Haze is absolutely adorable, but not photogenic! It's near impossible to capture how cute he is on camera – clearly one of his secret hidden talents. Haze is 1 year old and weighs 15 pounds. He's listed as a Chihuahua mix, but has a head with a Boston terrier vibe, which is also present in his personality. He will entertain you with his Tasmanian devil antics and sassy nature, balanced by his enjoyment of snuggling next to (or on) you on the couch. He's good with other dogs in the foster's home and is both kennel and potty trained.

Ideal Home

Haze would do best in a calm and loving home where he can focus on healing. During his heartworm treatment, he will need a quieter lifestyle with lots of naps, cuddles, and relaxation.

Ongoing Health

Haze is heartworm positive but is undergoing treatment. He only has two injections left and will be heartworm-free. Heartworm disease is treatable and dogs who complete treatment typically go on to live long, happy, healthy lives. Heartworms are spread only through mosquito bites, not from dog-to-dog contact. Your current pets cannot catch heartworms from Haze through normal interaction.

Training & Support

Haze is kennel and potty trained and is good with other dogs.

• Adoption fee includes: Age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and deworming treatments.
• Please understand that your specific pet could be adopted prior to your being able to meet them. Adoptions are completed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transporation

Haze is located at our shelter in Blue Springs, MO, but we do offer transport within 60 miles of Kansas City for approved foster-to-adopt homes.
