Mitzi - snuggler!

Mitzi is a sweet girl around 2.5 years old and weighing about 48 pounds. She was owner-surrendered and came to us needing some extra love and a fresh start. Mitzi is shy when she first meets new people, but with a little time and patience, she blossoms into a very affectionate and grateful companion. She loves to snuggle on the couch with her people and other dogs, and once she forms a bond, it's for life! Mitzi enjoys playing with other dogs, as long as they aren't too dominant. She's a great traveler and loves car rides, and she's also mastered leash walking! Mitzi is still learning to trust that she will never be mistreated again, but with continued TLC, she'll continue to thrive.

Ideal Home

A patient and loving home where Mitzi can continue to build her confidence. She does well with other dogs, but prefers them not to be of an alpha nature.

Ongoing Health

Mitzi has tested positive for heartworms but has successfully completed her treatment and is ready for her forever home. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. She also received a Proheart 6 injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Mitzi is housetrained and crate-trained. She is learning that it's okay to be affectionate and will need continued gentle encouragement to fully trust.

Transporation

Mitzi is located in a foster home in CT. Transport to MA may be available, with additional fees and a required 48-hour quarantine period in Woburn, MA for MA residents.
