Buddy

Buddy is a handsome male pit bull and Rottweiler mix, about 6-7 years young. He's a true survivor, having been rescued in July 2021 as a bait dog. His journey was incredibly tough, with his body covered in wounds, infection, and maggots. Later, he was even diagnosed with a rare parasite often found in dog fighting rings. But Buddy's spirit is as strong as his resolve! He has overcome every challenge and is now a healthy, happy boy ready to embrace life.

Buddy absolutely adores water, loves going for walks, and has a blast playing fetch. He's a smart cookie, already knowing his 'sit,' 'down,' and 'leave it' commands, and he walks beautifully on a leash. While he's non-reactive in public, he does appreciate when strangers give him his space. Buddy would make an incredible companion for a special person who understands his unique past and appreciates his energetic nature.

Ideal Home

Buddy would thrive in a home with no other animals and no young children. He needs a special person who understands him and appreciates his zest for life.

Buddy has overcome significant health challenges and is now healthy and happy.

Training & Support

Buddy knows his 'sit,' 'down,' and 'leave it' commands and walks well on a leash. Strangers should be mindful to give him his space when encountering him in public.
