Evangeline

Evangeline is a beautiful young German Shepherd mix under a year old, with a heart of gold and a loyal spirit. She's a gentle and eager-to-please pup who thrives when by your side, whether that's on a walk or just hanging out with her favorite people or canine friends. While her past involved neglect, leaving her with some anxiety when alone, she's already made incredible progress in foster care, transitioning from excessive barking to just a few "see you soon" sounds. She has a gentle nature, is a superstar during bath time, and shows no interest in the barn cat she's encountered. Despite a rough start, Evangeline is filling out, enjoying her meals, and still has a little growing to do, as evidenced by her adorable oversized paws.

Ideal Home

Evangeline would thrive in a home where she can receive love, patience, and consistency. She's doing well with other dogs and is unbothered by cats she's seen, though she hasn't been loose with them.

Ongoing Health

Evangeline arrived underweight but is now happily gaining and enjoying regular meals.

Training & Support

Evangeline can experience anxiety when left alone, but she is making great progress and is no longer exhibiting destructive behaviors. With continued positive reinforcement and understanding, she will continue to blossom.
