Meet Sage, your loyal Chocolate Shadow!

Sage is a 6-year-old, 76-pound female Chocolate Labrador Retriever who is ready to be your best friend. She was found wandering the streets and, sadly, her previous owner did not want her back. Sage has blossomed in her foster home and is proving what an incredible dog she truly is. She is a "Velcro Dog" who loves being close to her people and is happiest wherever her family is. Whether you're working from home, relaxing, camping, boating, or taking a scenic drive, Sage is ready to be your faithful companion. She loves car rides but would appreciate a little boost getting into the vehicle. Sage is house and crate trained, walks nicely on leash, is great with other dogs, gentle with cats, and wonderful with kids. She knows several commands and will alert you if someone is at the door or if she hears something unusual. When she's hoping for extra love, Sage makes an adorable chirping sound. She would enjoy having another dog but is confident enough to be happy as an only pet. What she truly wants is a family to love and devote herself to. If you're searching for a calm, affectionate, loyal companion who is happy to join your adventures or simply keep you company, Sage is ready to fill that role. She has already been let down once and is looking for a forever family who will cherish her.

Ideal Home

Sage is happy to have another dog to share her life with, but she can also be a happy only pet.

Ongoing Health

Sage is current on all vaccines and is on Credelio for flea and tick prevention, as well as Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. She will receive a full vet exam and a Health Certificate before traveling to her new home.

Training & Support

Sage is house and crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows several commands.
