Benson fka baby Delta pup

Benson, born February 12, 2026, is a sweet boy from Delta Dawn’s Valentine Litter. His siblings' DNA suggests a mix of Border Collie, American Staffordshire, Great Pyrenees, and Mastiff, though individual results may vary as the father is unknown. Benson and his littermates had a challenging start. Their mother, Delta Dawn, experienced severe medical complications shortly after their birth via emergency C-section, requiring extensive veterinary care and hospitalization. Because of this, the puppies were unable to nurse or bond with their mother and have been lovingly bottle-fed by humans around the clock. They are thriving and have been guided by their foster family, learning the word "no," responding to their names, and beginning to work on basic commands. Benson is one of the smaller pups but has caught up in size.

Ideal Home

A home with a stable, tolerant adult dog would be ideal to help Benson learn appropriate canine behavior and social skills, giving him an important advantage as he grows.

Ongoing Health

Benson has received his second vaccinations and will get his third at 12 weeks. He has been dewormed and microchipped. His adoption donation includes age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccine, DAPP series, spay/neuter, and microchip.

Training & Support

While Benson is well-socialized with people and has received guidance, he did not have the benefit of learning early dog-to-dog communication from his mother. A confident older dog role model in the home would be highly beneficial.
