Hello there! My name is Shirley and I'm a small but mighty gal with captivating eyes that shift from amber to blue-green, and adorable white-tipped paws. My sister Laverne and I were rescued from a tough situation in southern Minnesota, but we've landed in a loving foster home where we're getting all the comforts we could wish for. I'm working hard on my potty training and can already ring a bell to let you know I need to go out! I'm also a champion in my kennel at night, sleeping soundly with cozy blankets and some calming classical piano music. I'm learning "sit" and "stay," but sometimes my excitement gets the better of me! I love to play with other puppies and would thrive in a home with a canine playmate. I adore my humans, especially snuggling up close. I live with a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy and get along wonderfully with them. I've also met several small humans and enjoy their company! I haven't met any cats yet. My doggy siblings include Blanche, a calm 6-year-old Pitbull/Boxer mix, and Stanley, an energetic 3-year-old Weimaraner/Pitbull mix who loves playing with puppies. I tend to be more dominant with my sister but submissive with Blanche and Stanley. We love racing for toys, playing tug-of-war, and chasing tennis balls. Cuddles are my absolute favorite, whether with my canine or human family! I'm a perfect blend of spunk, sass, playfulness, and love, and I especially enjoy snuggling around my human's neck. My dream day would be filled with my human, starting with eating, napping, playing, more snoozing, and then eating again – repeat as needed! I'm a lot like Shirley from the TV show "Laverne & Shirley" – sweet but know how to stand up for myself. Bones and tennis balls are my favorite toys, but I'm not too picky! I enjoy a mix of play, cuddles, and plenty of snoozes. My tail wags uncontrollably when my humans come home or when I'm waiting for food – I might even let out a little bark to speed things up!

I'm looking for someone who enjoys both playtime and cozy cuddles, just like me. A home that can offer plenty of affection and a good balance of activity and relaxation would be purr-fect.

I'm a healthy pup, currently working on my house-training skills.
Training & Support
I'm mastering potty training and kennel training. I'm also learning basic commands like "sit" and "stay," but I get excited easily. I would love to continue my training in a home environment with lots of positive reinforcement.
