Meet Rocket, a handsome 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit mix weighing a healthy 65 lbs. Rocket's resilience shines through his story; he was found injured by the side of a highway in Houston but was rescued and has since made a full recovery. He's heartworm-negative and ready to fill his new home with love and loyalty.

Ideal Home

Rocket is a joy to have around and would be happy as the only pet or with a canine sibling. He's gentle and patient with young children and thrives on affection.

Ongoing Health

Rocket has fully recovered from his past injuries and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He is neutered and micro-chipped.

Training & Support

Rocket is a well-trained dog, excelling in house training, crate training, and basic and advanced obedience, including leash manners and commands like "sit," "down," "stay," "come," and "heel." He does have a prey drive and has been trained with a bark collar for polite behavior around small animals. He is also a champion chewer, so providing him with durable toys is recommended.
