Gary (Robbie)

Gary, an 11-year-old neutered male Parson Russell Terrier mix, is looking for a peaceful retirement home. He can be a bit of a grumpy old man at times, but he's also a gentle sweetheart. The noisy, high-stress environment of a shelter wasn't his scene, and he'd much rather a quiet older couple to settle down with and enjoy afternoons on the porch.

Ideal Home

Gary would thrive in a quiet home with a couple who enjoy spending time indoors. He's not a fan of kids or other loud, excitable dogs, but he gets along well with chill, lazy dogs and would likely enjoy the company of lazy cats. He'd prefer a home where he can relax on the couch and sleep at the foot of your bed, but he's not a lap dog and would prefer not to be picked up. All interactions should be gentle and slow.

Ongoing Health

As a senior dog, adopters must understand that Gary will have limited years left. Wags is committed to helping a family care for him in any way they need.

Training & Support

Gary is accustomed to using pee pads and a doggy door. If these aren't options, belly bands can be used, but please understand that he may not be able to hold it consistently due to his age.
