Meet your new best friend, Cyrus! This handsome, nearly 6-year-old Pitbull (born 2020) is the perfect blend of playful energy and affectionate charm. Cyrus is a smart boy who is house trained and knows a variety of commands including sit, lay down, shake, heel, and come – he's happy to show off his skills with a treat! He loves playing with toys, especially when a ball is involved, and while he's still perfecting his "drop" command, he's fantastic at catching and will happily keep the game going. Cyrus is also an excellent walking companion, knows heel, and does very well on the leash.
This sweet guy is full of love and has no shortage of snuggles and kisses to give. He thrives on affection and will gladly curl up with you after a walk or at the end of the day. Cyrus is respectful of boundaries and has demonstrated great behavior in the home, staying on his dog beds. After just two weeks, he earned the freedom to be out of his kennel without any issues. He does get excited when he sees other dogs, so he may benefit from continued guidance and training in those situations. With consistency, he's sure to keep improving. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who already has a great foundation and tons of love to give, Cyrus could be the perfect match!
Ideal Home
Cyrus needs a fenced yard with room to stretch his legs. He is friendly with older kids (age 10+) and strangers. He likes to play but does not like to share his toys.
Ongoing Health
Cyrus has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Cyrus is house-trained and knows several commands. He is still working on his "drop it" command and may benefit from continued training for excitement around other dogs. Muddy Paws offers a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).
