Gracie is a sweet, sensitive soul who's ready to give (and receive!) all of the love a foster or forever family has to offer! After spending about six wonderful years with her previous family, Gracie recently found herself back with us after they had to make the difficult decision to surrender her due to an out-of-state move. They described her as a "shy but very loving, gentle dog" who absolutely adores pets and would happily claim the title of one of the sweetest 45-pound lap dogs around! Gracie has already proven herself to be a truly amazing family companion. She's lived successfully with people of all ages (having a special fondness for children), and has also done well with dogs and cats, enjoying playtime with other four-legged friends who can match her energy. And she may have also even spent some time around horses! At home Gracie is reportedly already house-trained, has experience being in a crate, knows some basic commands, and when adventure calls, she previously enjoyed tagging along on bike rides and jogging alongside her family. While Gracie may be a little shy at first, she has so much love to give to the people lucky enough to earn her trust. With a little patience and kindness, you'll discover a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to her people. Gracie is already house-trained and has experience with crate training. She knows some basic commands and previously enjoyed bike rides and jogging with her family. While she may be a little shy initially, she is a loving and gentle companion who will thrive with patience and kindness.
