Meet Ruby, a sweet and gentle soul who is about 7 years old, born on June 8, 2017. She has been given a second chance at life and truly seems to appreciate every single day. Ruby is happiest with the simple things in life – a cozy bed, a predictable routine, good air conditioning, a fan, and meals served on time. She's a true couch potato and is perfectly content lounging around the house and spending time in the backyard rather than going on long adventures. Although she has a slight limp in her back hip, it doesn't stop her from getting around or enjoying life. She simply takes her time, especially when climbing stairs. Ruby is incredibly friendly and loves meeting new people. She'll greet you with a wagging tail, but she's definitely a princess and you'll need to come to her for pets and affection! She's also quite talkative and enjoys letting you know she's nearby, especially if treats are involved. Just be mindful when handing them over; she gets so excited that she may accidentally nip a finger.

Ruby needs a calm, patient home where people use a gentle approach and understand that she deserves kindness and reassurance. Loud voices can frighten her. She thrives in a peaceful environment.
Ongoing Health
Ruby came into rescue with skin allergies affecting her feet, likely from her previous home, but they have improved tremendously with proper care. She has a slight limp in her back hip, but it doesn't stop her from getting around or enjoying life.
Training & Support
Ruby is housebroken and crate trained, although she spends most of her time outside the crate because she's a well-behaved girl. She walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car. Be mindful when giving her treats, as she can accidentally nip a finger in her excitement.
