Dexter is a sweet, affectionate, and snuggly boy who is eager to please! He's a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to energy levels, sometimes being quite active and other times happy to relax with the other dogs. He sleeps through the night and settles well in his kennel, making him a great companion. Dexter is also a quick learner and is doing well with the training he's received so far, showing he'd likely thrive in the right environment. He would probably enjoy having a canine buddy in his new home.

Ongoing Health

Dexter will have another vet visit before his adoption is finalized. He has a history of marking, and while he does go potty outside with no issues, he is currently managed with belly bands due to soiled ones being frequently found.

Training & Support

Dexter is learning to sit and wait for entry/exit and for his food, and he picks up on new things quickly. He can hump the resident puppy when aggravated and can become reactive with other dogs. He also exhibits resource guarding behavior with toys and food, but this is managed well through consistent training of sitting and waiting.
