Meet Duke, a charming 38-pound gentleman with a heart of pure gold! We suspect he's a delightful mix of Pointer and Border Collie, making him the perfect medium size – sturdy enough for adventures but perfectly snuggly for couch time. Duke is a true companion, always ready to offer moral support with a wagging tail and loving gaze. He's a smart cookie, already crate trained and a whiz at potty training, having had zero accidents. He’s also a natural with children, showing a gentle and patient demeanor with kids as young as six months old. Duke is a social butterfly with other dogs, getting along famously with his foster siblings of all sizes, from tiny Shih Tzus to a Great Pyrenees. He loves a good romp in the yard and would truly thrive with a canine friend to share his playful spirit.
Ideal Home
Duke is a backyard enthusiast who dreams of a fenced-in yard where he can enjoy victory laps, stick-hunting, and sunbathing. A quiet neighborhood with plenty of sniffing opportunities is his idea of paradise. Busy apartment living with noisy hallways and elevators is a bit too much for his chill vibe. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, his feelings about cats are yet to be determined. We'd love to arrange a meet-and-greet to ensure a harmonious introduction!
Ongoing Health
Duke is in great health and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Duke is a star student when it comes to house training and crate training. He enjoys interactive play and would benefit from continued socialization and positive reinforcement training to build his confidence.
