Minnie is a sweetheart who loves to cuddle! She has joined us on RV camping trips and was a fantastic companion. She's a bit wary of loud noises, especially from young children, and tends to bark and pace when she hears them. She also showed a tendency to react towards running children. While she generally gets along well with other dogs and even a cat she met, we believe she would do best in a home without young children due to her sensitivities.
Minnie enjoys lounging in a chair and sleeping for most of the day, but she absolutely loves being outdoors and would thrive with a fenced-in yard where she can run freely. She is potty-trained and has shown good behavior in public, including at farmers' markets and events, as long as she is on a leash and aware of her surroundings. She can navigate stairs to decks and porches but is hesitant with stairs leading to basements. She's also not a fan of kennels and seems afraid of them. Minnie can be a bit vocal, "talking" to her humans throughout the day, and she enjoys a good play session with other dogs.
Ideal Home
Minnie would do best in a home with a securely fenced-in yard. She is not comfortable around young children and would prefer a quieter environment.
Ongoing Health
Minnie is up-to-date on vaccinations and is spayed.
Training & Support
Minnie is working on her comfort with having her legs and feet touched. She also tends to play a bit boisterously with other dogs. She enjoys playing fetch but is more motivated when another dog is involved.
