Hi there! My name is Crackle and I'm a four-month-old pup looking for my forever home. I'm mostly black with a super cute white mask on my nose and a mix of clear and black nails. My foster mom even says I was pretty good about letting her trim them when they got a little sharp!
I'm a smart boy. While my brother is a fetch enthusiast, I prefer a more strategic approach to toy retrieval. My foster mom is teaching me the ropes of sharing, though! I absolutely love my Nylabone and am also a big fan of cuddling. If you're looking for a snuggle buddy, I'm your guy!
I'm making great progress with potty training – I haven't had an accident in the house for about four days! Crate training is also going well; I go in for bedtime with prompts and don't whine while I'm in there. I am working on some separation anxiety, so I'd love a patient family who can help me learn that you'll always come back.
I can be a little shy and timid when exploring new things, but once I try them, I gain confidence quickly! For example, the stairs leading outside used to scare me, but now I zoom up them faster than my brother. I do sometimes throw little whiny tantrums when my brother bothers me while I'm trying to sleep. Though timid, I'll bark when I hear someone nearby or see people outside, but we're working on that. I'm also learning "sit," taking treats gently, and waiting for the "OK" to eat. I'm a very smart pup and eager to please!
