Lex is the epitome of a good time! She's a bouncy, playful pup who is loving to everyone and excited to make new friends, both human and canine. She truly knows how to have fun no matter where she is. The moment we met Lex, we fell in love! She is bursting with joy and is the queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug-of-war. When she first arrived, she ran up to us with a wagging tail and a huge smile, immediately showering us with affection. Lex loves to play with everyone, and when she plays with other dogs, she plays hard! She's full of energy, and her YouTube video shows just how much fun she has!
Lex is a Pitbull Cattle Dog mix with beautiful cattle spotting and adorable pointed ears. She's 56lbs of pure happiness! In playgroup, Lex did great with all kinds of dogs, playing with most of them for extended periods. She has a more boisterous play style but is considerate and good at reading other dogs' vibes. She played hardest with confident females who enjoyed a good romp. Lex would likely do well in a home with male or female dogs, though she seems to have a special connection with the ladies and is always ready for a day of play.
Ideal Home
Lex needs a home with a yard and an active owner who is familiar with the energy and spirit of cattle dogs. She is a wild child and will bring immense joy to the right family! While Lex hasn't been officially tested with children, her loving nature suggests she'd adore them. We recommend a home with older children who can handle her playful energy. Cats are a definite no for Lex; her excitement when meeting our cat suggests she might be too rough during play.

Lex's leash skills need a little refinement, as she can pull slightly when eager to greet new people. However, she's a bright dog who will train well with consistency and positive reinforcement.

Lex is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Available drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
