Dowdy is full of playful energy and loves spending time with his people. He was found as a stray in a well-known dumping area in Dallas, left to fend for himself. Despite his rough start, he hasn’t let it dim his joyful spirit. He’s ready to leave the past behind and find a family who will love and care for him forever. Ideal Home
Dowdy would do best in a home with older kids who can handle his strength and enthusiasm, especially when he gets excited.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

- The adoption fee for this pet is $200 plus a sponsored transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old.
- The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call.
- We reserve the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Adoptions are not on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals.
Transportation
Dowdy is located in a foster home in Fort Worth, Texas, but is available for transport. Dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by Wags. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport.
