Meet Ember!

Ember is a mature adult mixed-breed, estimated to be around 6-7 years old. She arrived at our shelter as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed by her previous family. Ember is a sweet, gentle girl with a friendly personality. She enjoys spending time with people, walks nicely on a leash, and loves leisurely strolls to explore the play yard. This smart girl is highly motivated by snacks and already knows how to "sit" and offer both paws when asked! Ember has a wonderful balance of independence and affection. She's content entertaining herself but will happily come over for pets, attention, and love. After a relaxing walk, she's likely to be the perfect couch potato companion, ready to curl up by your side for the rest of the day.

Ideal Home

Ember would do well with children aged 6 and older. She has the potential to live with another dog and did well meeting another shelter dog. A meet and greet with any resident dogs would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. She has the potential to live with a cat with proper introductions.

Ongoing Health

Ember is available now through our Foster-to-Adopt program. This means she can head home with her future family while she waits for her scheduled spay surgery. Once the procedure is complete, her adoption can be finalized!

Training & Support

Ember is highly motivated by snacks and already knows how to "sit" and offer both paws when asked. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys leisurely strolls.
