Meet Rusty! Your Friendly Adventure Buddy!!
If you're looking for a best friend who's always ready for life's next adventure, Rusty may just be your perfect match. At around 2 years old and 39 pounds, this handsome red Husky/Collie mix (best guess) is full of personality, energy, and love. His bright eyes, fluffy coat, and constant smile are enough to make anyone stop scrolling—but it's his sweet, friendly nature that will steal your heart. Rusty loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He's an active young guy who would thrive with a family that enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, or simply spending time outdoors together. After all, he's still a young dog with a lot of life to live and adventures to share. For the past year, Rusty has been cared for by a kind couple who found him as a stray. They kept him safe the best they could, but because of his energy level and their limitations, he's spent much of that time living outside. They knew he deserved more, and that's why they reached out to us. Now it's Rusty's turn. He's dreaming of something simple—a soft bed, air conditioning on hot summer days, daily walks, belly rubs, and a family to call his own.

Rusty is vaccinated and heartworm negative. Stella's Sanctuary will cover the cost of his neuter for his approved adopter.
Training & Support
Like many young dogs, Rusty would benefit from continued leash training and an adopter willing to help him channel his enthusiasm into becoming the amazing companion we know he can be.
