Seraphina

At 10 years young, Seraphina is a wise soul with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines through every challenge she's faced. She was rescued from an euthanasia list at 3 years old and has gracefully navigated life as a foster, overcoming illness and the heartbreak of losing her puppies. After being adopted and rehomed, she was found wandering in early March. Despite all these life changes, Seraphina maintained her pep in her step and even underwent surgery to remove a pound of kidney stones, recovering with a special diet. She's a car enthusiast, a well-behaved house guest, and an expert at making you laugh and feel adored. While crate trained, she prefers to be by your side, "helping" with chores with her enthusiastic tongue. Seraphina knows herself well and thrives as the sole canine companion, showering all humans, big or small, with affection. She's not a fan of loud thunder booms or fireworks and finds comfort in her people, a safe space, and lots of snuggles.

Ideal Home

Seraphina would thrive in a home where she can be the only dog, as she isn't interested in canine companions. She adores all people and would be happy to join a family with children. While her reaction to cats is unknown, she once chased one she saw outside. She is a bit fearful of loud thunder booms and fireworks, so a quiet and understanding environment would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Seraphina requires a prescription diet to prevent future kidney stone issues, but otherwise, she has made a full recovery from her surgery and past illnesses.

Training & Support

Seraphina is house-trained and crate-trained. She can be a bit overzealous with "cleaning" using her tongue, but this is a behavioral quirk that can be managed with gentle guidance. Her fear of loud noises can be helped with calming treats and a den-like space.
