Laura is a one-year-old, midsized dog with a whole lot of personality! She and her sister Bree were rescued from euthanasia in rural Louisiana and have learned that the world can be a little scary. Luckily, they've always had each other, finding courage and comfort side-by-side. Laura is the more outgoing of the two sisters, described as gentle and loyal, and she's usually the first to warm up to new people and situations. These two girls absolutely love canine company and their goofy energy really shines when they're playing together. They don't just coexist; they thrive together! They are looking for a patient family who can show them that life can be soft, with kind voices and a couch to share. They are proof that rescue dogs sometimes bloom slowly, but the love they give back is enormous.
Ideal Home
Laura would thrive in a calm home environment with kind voices. A family that understands that rescue dogs sometimes bloom slowly would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
Training & Support
Laura is described as gentle and loyal, and the first to warm up to new situations. However, her sister Bree takes her time sizing up the world. As they have always had each other, it's important to provide a patient and understanding environment for both of them to continue to bloom.
