At just 2 years old, this sweet lab mix girl Lola has already overcome so much, yet she remains one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs you could ever meet. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston alongside her newborn puppies, she showed nothing but trust and kindness toward everyone around her. Lola's babies were quickly taken away, and she found herself at risk of euthanasia. However, her calm, loving nature and incredibly easygoing personality made her a staff favorite, and she was able to find help to leave the shelter.
Her foster family described her as “the best dog in the universe,” and it’s easy to see why. Lola is quiet, well-mannered, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to handle. She settles beautifully into home life and simply enjoys being near her people. She currently lives with another dog and young children and does wonderfully with both. Lola's fosters found that she did not do well with very tiny animals, and she has been in boarding for the last two months. The boarding staff love her and think that she is an extremely smart and obedient pup. Lola weighs around 45 pounds, making her the perfect medium-sized companion.
Ideal Home
Lola would thrive in a home where she can be near her people. She has done well with other dogs and young children, but she is not a good fit for homes with very tiny animals. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups; electric or underground fences are not accepted.
Ongoing Health
Lola is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She is kept on heartworm and flea prevention.
