Meet Bodie, a.k.a. Bodie Girl! This sweet 26lb Boxer x Lab mix, estimated to be born around February 3, 2026, has a story that is truly inspiring. Found starving and alone in a drainage pipe, Bodie's resilience shines through. Despite her tough beginnings, she greets every day with a wagging tail, a hopeful heart, and an abundance of love to give. Her original finder affectionately nicknamed her Bodie, and it stuck because she seems to love it!
Bodie is the perfect medium-sized companion, small enough to fit comfortably in most homes but with a personality that's larger than life. She absolutely adores people and laps up affection whenever she can. If you're dreaming of a dog who will happily snuggle up beside you after a long day and remind you of unconditional love, Bodie is your girl. Her wonderful temperament and size even led her to accompany the rescue's founder on TV to represent adoptable dogs, where she was perfectly behaved! She loves car rides, gets excited for adventures, and would never pass up a pup cup. Bodie is also dog-friendly and enjoys playing with her canine pals, making her a great addition to a home with another playful pup.

Transportation
Bodie is located in Houston, TX. Transportation is included in the adoption fee, and pickup locations may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
