Oreo

Oreo is a delightful one-year-old mystery mix, weighing in at a sturdy 55–60 lbs. He's a unique blend of American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Pit Bull Terrier, with a touch of other breeds, making him truly one of a kind! Whether you're seeking an adventurous car-ride companion or a professional snuggler, Oreo is ready to fill that role. Despite a challenging start in life, having been found abandoned, Oreo's sweet nature shines through. He's a social butterfly who enjoys car rides, is a gentleman around people and other dogs, and can even entertain himself by watching his favorite show, "Clifford the Big Red Dog." Oreo is a surprisingly low-maintenance boy; after a short burst of energy or a nice walk, he's content to relax. He has already demonstrated he's a perfect house guest, with no accidents and an apparent understanding of outdoor potty needs. Once he discovered the couch, he became a world-class cuddler!

Ideal Home

Oreo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is very sweet-natured. Due to his youthful exuberance and tendency to jump up to greet people, we recommend a home with children ages 10 and up. He hasn't met a cat yet, but we are happy to arrange a feline introduction if requested. Oreo has a funny habit of placing his front paws in his water bowl while he drinks, which is sure to bring a smile to your face!

Ongoing Health

Oreo is fully vetted and ready to be your loyal companion. His adoption includes a comprehensive health package: he is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been recently dewormed and is on consistent monthly prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. Within 10 days of his travel, Oreo will have a fresh health certificate exam and a fecal exam to ensure he is in perfect health for his journey.

Training & Support

Oreo is still learning the ropes and enjoys a good cuddle on the couch. He also has "zoomie" spurts but settles down quickly after about 10 minutes of activity.

Transportation

Oreo is currently waiting in Oklahoma and will be transported to his new family. Once adopted, he will be ready for pickup at one of our convenient stops near the cities listed below. Please note that transporters have their own schedules for dates, locations, and times, and families must be available to meet the transport at the scheduled arrival time.
