Meet Angus: Your Future Gentle (and Slightly Chaotic) Giant!

Angus is a 6-month-old, 60+ lb Bullmastiff mix with a heart as big as his paws. He's a goofy, energetic puppy who was found wandering near a local creek and brought to the Hico Animal Shelter. After being fully vetted and showered with love, Angus is now ready to find his forever home where he can continue to grow into the magnificent dog we know he'll be. He’s still a baby, exploring the world with his mouth and eager to play, though he’s still learning how to manage his big puppy energy around other dogs.

Ideal Home

Angus would thrive in an active household with older children who can match his enthusiasm. He needs a home with a well-fenced yard and plenty of time for playtime, training, and adventures. He is definitely too much energy for feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Angus is healthy and ready to go home! He has been neutered, is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccines (including Rabies and Bordetella), is heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is current on flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite preventatives.

Training & Support

Angus is learning to walk on a leash, though he currently sees it as a fun chew toy, so expect some lovable chaos on walks! He is eager to play but is still figuring out his own strength. He is doggie-door trained, but may need a little patience to become fully housebroken in a new environment. He loves car rides but needs to be properly restrained to avoid disrupting the driver.
