Fern

Fern is a darling 8-week-old mixed-breed puppy who, along with his siblings, is ready to start his new life! Born on May 18, 2026, Fern is a bundle of playful energy. His mom is a Lab mix weighing around 40 lbs, and while his dad is unknown, we anticipate Fern will grow into a medium-sized dog. He's currently thriving in a foster home, getting along wonderfully with other dogs and even children and cats!

Ideal Home

Fern is a puppy who will need guidance and patience as he learns. He's already showing he can do well with other pets and kids in his foster home, but it will be the adopter's responsibility to continue teaching him how to interact with all members of the household.

Ongoing Health

Fern is up-to-date on vaccinations. As part of his adoption agreement, adopters must agree to establish care with their own veterinarian, attend monthly weigh-ins for proper flea, tick, and heartworm preventative dosing, and complete the puppy vaccine series with a rescue representative. He will also need to be spayed or neutered at our vet, with the date to be determined. Alternatively, adopters can assume responsibility for vetting, with the rescue following up to confirm completion of vaccines and alteration.

Training & Support

As with all puppies, Fern will benefit from consistent training and socialization. He is not yet house-trained. Adopters should be prepared to commit to ongoing training to help him grow into a well-adjusted adult dog.
