463 (2026) Mama Tilly

Mama Tilly is a lovely 2-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who came to us from the Espanola Humane Shelter in New Mexico. She arrived as a new mom to a litter of puppies, and initially, she was experiencing some behavioral issues that made it difficult for staff to care for her and her pups. Thankfully, once her puppies were safely transferred for care, Mama Tilly's demeanor completely changed, and she became much more receptive. We confirmed she was friendly with both dogs and people and brought her to our rescue. While her original name was "Mama Tilda," her foster family has affectionately nicknamed her "Tilly."

Ideal Home

Tilly would thrive in a home that can provide her with patience and understanding as she continues to settle in. She has shown herself to be friendly with both dogs and humans.

Ongoing Health

Tilly is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Any necessary boosters will be up to date when she is adopted.

Training & Support

While Tilly's behavioral issues have significantly improved, it's important to note that she can be reserved and may not come to adoption events unless she has a reservation. We are working with her to ensure she is comfortable and confident in new situations.
