Freckles, wiggles, and a happy hop in her step – that's Pippi Longstocking! This petite, bright-eyed girl is full of spunky sweetness and sees the world as her playground. Pippi is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 37 lbs. She appears to be some sort of staffie-style mix, but as with all rescues, her breed and birthday are our best guess. What's not a guess is her happy, medium-sized personality, her boundless energy, and her heart that's wide open for love.

Pippi walks nicely on leash with a relaxed pace and responds well to correction. When she receives affection, she becomes almost giddy with enthusiasm, wiggling and showering you with her undeniable charm. Think of it as a confetti cannon of joy!

When it comes to other dogs, Pippi is friendly and confident but doesn't need to be best friends with everyone. She can easily move on if the energy isn't right or her play style isn't welcomed. She enjoys playing with high-energy, zooming companions and does best with confident female dogs and males overall. She tends to pass on interaction with more submissive female dogs. Her play style can be bold with equally playful and confident dogs, but she thrives with clear boundaries and dog friends who can advocate for themselves. She is not the best fit for a dog that is a pushover or lacks the confidence to set boundaries. Pippi walks into her crate without fuss, which is a big win! She will thrive with an active family who enjoys movement, play, and a dog who greets each day with celebration. Her response to cats has been mixed and inconclusive, so we would love for her to be in a home with a cat or two to get a full understanding of her interactions.
