Josie is a sweet girl who needs just a few minutes to warm up to you. Once she decides you're her person, she'll love you unconditionally! She's a smart pup and picks up new commands quickly, already knowing "sit" and working on "down" and "stay." Josie would make a fantastic hiking companion! She loves to explore, and though she's still building confidence with new experiences, she's eager to go wherever you go and enjoys car rides. She's house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. While she's okay on a leash, she's still learning not to follow her nose too much. Josie isn't a fan of crates and will voice her displeasure, so apartment living with a crate might not be ideal. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has done well at doggie daycare. We don't know how she is with cats or younger children, but due to her initial apprehension, she'd likely do best with older children who understand to let her approach them on her own terms.
Ideal Home
Josie would do best in a home where she can explore and be taken on adventures. A home that understands she needs a little time to warm up and can give her older children who will respect her space would be ideal. Being crated in an apartment setting is not recommended due to her strong vocal reactions.

Josie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Josie is house-trained and knows "sit," with "down" and "stay" in progress. She needs a little more practice with leash manners to focus on her handler rather than her nose. She is not a fan of crates.
