KIMBO

Kimbo is a charming 5-6 year old, 16-18 pound male Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a handsome rough/wiry coat that simply needs routine brushing. He's a sensitive soul who experienced unkindness in his youth, so he needs a patient and understanding adopter to help him adjust to his new life. Kimbo is incredibly sweet and a little shy, but his devotion is truly worth waiting for! He adores playing with other small dogs and can entertain himself for hours. Once playtime is over, he's happiest curled up for a nap on his foster mom's lap. He's currently living harmoniously with two teenagers, his foster mom, and a few other dogs.

Ideal Home

We're looking for a calm adult-only household or one with teenagers. A home with another small, playful dog would be ideal, as Kimbo loves to have a canine buddy. A securely fenced yard is also a must for him to explore safely. Because Kimbo can be uncomfortable meeting new people, he's not the best fit for an adopter who frequently takes their dog to social events or out to restaurants.

Ongoing Health

Kimbo has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Kimbo is housebroken when taken out on a regular schedule. He also accepts being crated when left alone or at night. Continued walks will be beneficial for him to gain confidence and become more comfortable with the sights and sounds of the world around him.
